Two lectures in the morning will be followed by an optional lunch. All places for that lunch have been sold and lunch is now only an option for those who have already booked. The cost of the lectures is £30. The event is being held at Broadway Cinema in Broad Street in the Lace Market. Because of the high level of interest in this Special Interest Day, it wll now be in Screen 2.
Lecture 1 - Dress Code - Ten iconic dresses in art
This reveals dresses in portraits that have shocked and delighted audiences in equal measure. Fashion and art are entwined and every dress tells a story.
Lecture 2 - Tamara de Lampicka - Art Deco Diva
A story of self-invention. Tamara de Lampicka was an aristocratic fugitive from the Russian Revolution who took Paris by storm as an artist and became an icon of the Roaring 20s. She was a true Art Deco diva.
